Samurai 7 Art Stats: Original Watercolor Painting... Gift Character: Kambei Fangirl Ranting: Oh my ... oh my ... oh my. I was floored and then some when this amazingly beautiful Kambei painting showed up in the mail. It was such a lovely and unexpected gift, and I can't even begin to say how thrilled I was -- not only because it's always nice to get a gorgeous piece of Crystal's original artwork ... but also because a wonderful friend thought of me. That makes this one extra special! And I do so love this one. I fell head over heels for Kambei from about the first moment of Samurai 7. He was so noble and stubborn (almost stupidly so). And so intense and tragic. And full of a sadness he could never seem to heal. I think this beautiful painting captures quite a lot of the emotion and intensity that drew me to Kambei as a character. I love the expression in his eyes. And the motion in his hair is so, so pretty, too.
